Want to be the next Alex Jones (BBC TV'S The One Show) or blast out tracks like Radio One DJ Huw Stephens? What have they got to do with us? Well, they are all extremely successful presenters who both started on small scale stations in Wales. . . just like ours.
Maybe you have a talent for journalism, would like to broadcast yourself and get involved with making programmes – maybe make a programme of your own?
At Radio Mumbles we can provide training in all aspects of radio production or maybe you would like to get involved behind the scenes in our busy administration and advertising departments.
Whatever your talents they can be nurtured here at Radio Mumbles and together we can go some way to building great broadcasting standards, a satisfying vocation and a useful start to a career in Radio.
Volunteering for Radio Mumbles is best summed up by its Station Director Clive Saddington,
"We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about radio and who want to learn more about research, production and presenting. Whilst helping in the day to day running of a busy local radio station.”
The type of voluntary work that we can offer you:
- Studio Engineering
- Voice Acting
Well, all volunteers at Radio Mumbles, whatever the position, are required to submit a £10 annual membership fee and you can find out how to do this by following this link here or drop into our brand new Dunns Lane studio in Mumbles for a chat and a look around.
We look forward to seeing you and working together in this exciting and fast moving industry.
Remember, we are launching our live internet broadcasting from the end of October 2010 which will soon be followed by our application to Ofcom for a full F.M broadcasting licence. Needless to say, vacancies are going to fill very quickly and we don't want anyone to be disappointed.
